Went to n1 city to open personal a cc

Lady who was helping Me has no idea wat she was doing at 1st she wanted to verify my permit thts fine then she comes after 5 mints and telling me dis permit doesn't exist and ask her where did u verify she said via website instead of vfs but still u can't verify on their website I ask her I collected permit week ago which reply dis permit does not exist then I saw she is holding a expired permit

I told her the permit she talking abt is expired in 2018 u need to check latest one on passport and u need to send for FiCA

U can't just verify on the spot.

The I told her I went to standard bank week ago to open acc and still waiting don't wana wait anymore

So I came here to open in acc

In absa

She said then y don't u go back and check y u here in absa

Wat a stupid question she ask

She doesn't want ppl to come to absa for new accs.

She needs to go on training

Poor service

I recently purchased a house and obtained a bond from ABSA. As the house is registered under a company, I had to liaise with ABSA Corporate in Menlyn. My initial interactions to open an account were with Netta Buchanan, but she could not assist as I had already been assigned to Heindrich Havenga in Johannesburg. It took more than two weeks to open the account and I requested that my account be transferred to Pretoria, where I reside.

Since then, I have sent several emails requesting access to the ABSA App and a physical bank card, but to no avail - they both just ignore my emails.

I have never banked with ABSA before and already regret doing business with them. Absolutely pathetic!

Poor service

My company has been in business for more than three years, the annual bill amount is R1000****, and all taxes are paid in full. I've been applying for an overdraft or credit card for over a year without any results.

The sales representative continuously told me to wait. At that time, the company was registered in my sister's name, so I had to revert it to my name, and I have since changed the company's registration information. I went to the bank with all the necessary documentation, but even after six months, there has been no progress. During this time, because the bank account is not under my name, some of my business transactions have not been processed smoothly.

Who will be responsible for these losses? I deeply regret using this bank.

No matter how patient I might be, absa Bank has completely exasperated me. I regret this greatly, so I've made the decision to no longer use absa Bank.

Stay Clear

Extremely frustrated with ABSA. It's been over 5 weeks, and my claim is still unresolved.

The communication has been terrible, with constant delays and no clear updates.

This isn't the first time I've dealt with this process, but somehow, it's even worse the second time around. Very disappointed.

Blocked account

I made three transactions to my Binance account on Tuesday, 13 August 2024. The payments to the account were blocked for suspicious activity.

Can ABSA please inform them that there is no suspicious activity, as the transfers were done by myself? Can ABSA unfreeze my account, please?

ATM shows your pin code ! avoid ! our card was robbed

At Absa Bank in Cape Town, we were getting money when a man came over to instruct us. Little did we know that the machine displayed our pin number.

The man who was supposed to help us took the card and ran off. He was able to read the pin number! While most ATMs around the world display ***** for your pin in the display, Absa doesn't! That's a huge encouragement for thieves in South Africa.

Absa Bank should change all the display settings, or you could be the next victim. Amount lost: $5000 US.

Resolved: Blocking of accounts

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. ABSA management said they are sorry but they can not stop the random block of accounts, nor can they unblock the accounts in less than six months, nor do they know why they have this problem. We move our business out of ABSA because the problem can not be resolved.

Dear ABSA

My bond number 807716**** has been blocked now for about six months.

I have complained to the highest level in ABSA without any positive response.

The excuse keeps on changing and ABSA refuse to give me access to my savings.

The internet banking system says that the money is available but it is not.

It is by now clear that ABSA has either taken the money or lost it.

Please investigate this fraud as a matter of urgency.

ABSA - Poor service and buggy mobile application

I have had endless problems with the mobile banking app. Multiple attempts via email, calling client services and visiting branches still has not resolved the issues experienced.

It has actually worsened. Previously it gave some obscure error when trying to open a fixed deposit. Not it succeeds, but the account opened is corrupted showing technical coding symbols like NULL.

After all the time spent they still levy the full service charge. Unaccessible for a company one should trust with your money!

Bad service

After the bog storm in margate area . My front fence fell over .

Absa did gp out of there way not to pay . Assesor that are very profesional block me on his phone . When i reqeusred that his contractor that he apointed must bring stuff back what he have removed from my premises.

They wanted tp do sub standard wprk and when i complaint this is the treatment.

There is a lot of damage they over look that was visible becaise they dont want to pay . This is my second time Absa sent sub standard contractor to my house .

Previous time is when they replace the geyser .

The service from Absa is as good as thier contractors .BAD!!!

After 20 years woth them it is a zero from me .DON'T USE ABSA THEY WON'T PAY . Any one how want more info call me on ±27 7******** James
